The incredible story of a living piece of Australian history-the Waler Horse-and its remarkable journey from a hardy stock horse to a legendary war horse with no equals. The story of the Waler might just as well be the story of Australia. As recently as 2013, thousands of these magnificent horses were destroyed near Tempe Australia, by land management. Culling is often looked upon as a humane answer to a wild herd's outgrowing its only source of water or food. But there is a need to find other solutions. We hope that the story shared here might help to raise knowledge of this legendary breed in order that a better answer to their management may be found. Song by Eric Bogel.
