This is the story of the Irish in America. Many people do not realize that in England the protestants were rounding up Irish catholics and selling them into slavery and that many were driven to leave their homeland. They came to America with nothing but hope, suffered hardships and hatred, and fought to earn respect, taking the worst and most dangerous jobs, moving westward with the pioneers, and helping to build America. In America we honor all the men and women from different backgrounds and what they have contributed, but every March 17th we honor the Irish.  Irish, this episode is for you!
